Uponor North America first began as Wirsbo, founded in 1620 in Virsbo, Sweden. In 1984, Wirsbo was incorporated in the United States and was acquired by Uponor Corporation — a Finland-based company — in 1988. In 2006, the company changed its name to Uponor North America, encompassing all U.S. and Canadian business.
Uponor North America employs over 450 employees in the U.S. and Canada, with the majority located in the company's North American corporate headquarters in Apple Valley, MN. Worldwide, Uponor Corporation employs more than 3,200 in 30 countries.
Uponor North America is headquartered in Apple Valley, MN, a suburb of Minneapolis and St. Paul, with a distribution center in Lakeville, MN.

The Canadian headquarters are located in Mississauga, Ontario and our Canadian Technical Center is in Regina, Saskatchewan. There are two distribution centers in Canada; one in Calgary, Alberta and the other in Brampton, Ontario. There is also a Sales office located in Laval, Quebec.

Uponor uses a market-based pay approach to establish competitive pay levels. This approach links Uponor directly to the external labor market, which allows us to respond to changing labor market conditions. The market value of jobs in relevant labor markets determines the overall pay parameters. An employee’s specific responsibilities, individual and company performance and ongoing development help to determine the actual pay. In addition, all Uponor positions are bonus eligible.

Yes. Uponor provides partial tuition reimbursement for eligible education costs to full-time employees after completing six months of consecutive service.
Uponor provides a 401(k) retirement savings plan to all full-time employees following 90 consecutive days of service. Uponor matches employee contributions up to 4% of your compensation, and employees are fully vested at date of participation.
